Disability and food stamps?
I have 3 children, 2 of whom are disabled, I had to put them in a special school because the school district could not teach them. One child I had to put in the special school because he was being bullied, the school knew about what was going on and never mentioned nothing to me, til the child and three other kids came to my house lured my son from the house and tried to jump him. I told the police and they blew me off. I told the principal and she said that this has been going on for some time now. The district is paying for one to go to the special school, and the other is on a scholarship, but the special school does not provide lunches, I must pay for this out of pocket. It cost around $200-$230 in cash a month. This doesn't even count for what my family has to eat at home. Can I put this on an application and will it help me to get food stamps for them. I am a college student/divorcee. I tried the child support route but they told me the father is not responsible to help pay for school lunches. This is just temporary til I finish college in 1 year then I will not need the assistance. Who can I turn too for help? My income was also cut by $600 a month . I need help!
