Can a landlord list a property at a certain amount and change it higher right before you move in?

I applied for a new rental with my current rental company, we've always been good tenants and paid our rent on time. Now 30 days later, the previous tenants have vacated the property and I'm about to sign my lease the rental company upped the rent $50 just because "the owner decided it was worth more" and because we're going from a 2 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom house (the property manager literally said this) and the $750 was the same as what were paying for our 2 bedroom. So if a company lists a property at say $750 for a 2 bedroom house and right when you're about to sign your lease agreement change it to $800 because "the owner decided it was worth more", are they breaking any laws? like false advertising or something like that?

My husband & I were shocked as we never witnessed this behavior of aggression in the 20 years we have owned poms as pets. Our dogs have had fights but nothing that aggressive. The "boys" were both immediately neutered & separated until we figured out what to do. I've been told to give 1 up to solve the problem, but my dogs are my kids & I refuse to give 1 up without a fight myself. Have done a ton of research on dog aggression, how to handle it, sibling rivalry & the famous "littermate syndrome" which is the category I believe I fall under & feel really stupid that I didn't know alot of this stuff beforehand. Looking back I realize we probably should have let the fight continue & maybe it would have been settled then & there, but I was so terrified that Joey was going to get hurt that I couldn't take the risk, Bailey is 3 wks younger than Joey but also much stronger. Here is the "short" version of the steps we have taken. In Aug. they have had to be in separate rooms for about 3-4 months because they couldn't stand the sight of 1 another. Around Dec.they could at least glance at each other without being aggressive but still didn't want to be in the same room for long without trying to fight. In Jan. I decided that I needed to do more basic training with them as far as sitting, stay, wait, down, etc. & that seemed to work very well. We have been slowly reintroducing themselves to one another for the past 5 mo. now & have made GREAT progress. We are FINALLY to the point where they sometime initally growl at each other but then stop. Keep in mind they are always on leashes or we pick them up to transfer from room to room, & have NOT had any voluntary physical contact with each other whatsoever for the past 10 months. When they are in the same room, we keep them on long leashes with one being tied to one area of the room & the other tied to another area where they can just reach each other without having contact. This has gone very well on most occasions. In the past 3 weeks, we have occassionally let them have more contact (head to head) but not full body & NEVER off the leashes or without 1 of us in between them. At 1 point they were actually licking each other & play barking but eventually would both show signs of domininace with each other, paw on back, head on shoulder, etc, & then eventually lead to Bailey's stare and stance, then the warning growl, & we would quickly have to intervene So finally to the point of my question, in my research I have read that if we have 2 dominant dogs we need to decide which 1 is more dominant & then reward that dog for his dominant behavior by feeding, walking first, etc. I do not agree with this at all. I don't believe you should reward a dog for being a bully but I guess that's not the issue here. If we are to do the next step, I need to know for sure who is more dominant. We believe it is Bailey but are not sure. These are their signs. Bailey is definitely the 1st with the dominant stare & stance but usually doesn't start the dominance signs 1st as far as paw placement & usually doesn't growl first. He's more like a lion waiting for his prey type(I know that's not funny, but I'm trying to find humor in my situation) However, Joey is always more cautious if he knows Bailely is in the next room but always barks or growls first when he's coming towards Bailey. (By that I mean for example, Joey will be upstairs with my husband & when they come down, they are separated by gates but Joey knows Bailey is on the other side of the gate), When they have close contact and are behaving, Joey will ALWAYS be the 1st one to turn away from eye contact. I know this is a submissive sign but he also shows signs of dominance too. I believe Joey acts more submissive but he will definitely respond back if Bailey starts the fight which I know is understandable. But he has never shown full submission and I don't believe he ever wil Also, every time they have close contact, Joey will turn around & put his butt up to Bailey head. Bailey never does this to Joey. Is this dominance or submission? Please no lectures on being selfish & trying to keep them both.They are not in any way being neglected or deprived of anything. she's older than I am....and more educated. I dated her with the intent of embracing how different we are, yet so much alike. We're alike as far as what we want out of life and how we view our relationship. She's a divorcee. I've never been married. Niether of us have children of our own. This helped my friend start her BAH, since she was staying with me it was totally legal and legit. Use JAG its free. Even if its temporary. Then when you start collecting BAH you can go out and get an apartment and enter into a new lease that is more permanent. Its a catch 22 you need BAH to get an apartment but you cant get an apartment without BAH.

BAH After Divorce in the Army?

I have filed for divorce in Texas, and it will be final after 60 days. I am an E-4, collecting the BAH W/DEP rate. Both my wife and I are on a lease off post that will last another 10 months. I currently have an allotment set up for the total BAH W/DEP amount that goes into her account since the rent comes out of her account. The landlord will not let me off the lease, and she has no way of paying the rent without me, and I cannot afford to pay anything without BAH. My question is, when the divorce is final, can I put in a 4187 to change to the without dependents rate for length of the lease since that was done prior to my BAH entitlement ending, or am I just SOL and going to have to go into debt with breaking a lease and having that on my credit? Fort Hood doesn't authorize BAH usually unless you are E-6 and above, and S1 wasn't any help at all when I asked them this question. Is it o.k. for another tenant to block my car in so I can't get out of my driveway?

I share a home (duplex) with another tenant. He has a space for his car (and enough space for someone to park their car in back (his friend or whomever)..............Then there is a space for the landlord and his truck and then one for me....................my space isn't really big enough for two cars but mine fits just fine; so that is no issue. The issue is this........Instead of the other tenants "guests" parking on the road, they park in back of me sideways (so they are just off the road and blocking me in. There is no possible way to get my car out unless I go to the other side of the house and ask them to move. My job requires me to "get up and go" sometimes within a few minutes notice (I work as a coordinator of specific services).......anyway........I don't want to have to go up and go pound on their door and ask for them to move for me every time..........who knows if I'll even have a space when I get back..............I asked the landlord what to do because I am frankly sick of complaining about everything they "rudely" do. My 18 year old son has had mental health issues for many years namely due to horriffic sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of his bioligical father & grandfather. Since he chose to file charges with the police, his biological father committed suicide, his grandfather was called to trial but the prosecutors felt there was not enough 'evidence' to take it to trial & in the publics best interest to withdraw all charges from the grandfather so he got off scott free. I have had my son in multiple private hospitals seeking the best of psychiatric care for the last two years since he left school. He is addicted to drugs, pain medication, marijuana, you name it. He has attempted suicide a multitude of times & last night was the final straw in that he terrified my 3 year old son (his step brother), myself & his step father by indicating we were at harm & to lock ourselves in our bedroom throughout the night, that he cut himself up with a knife across his arms & legs & my fiance had to wrestle a large carving knife from him. We had police come to the house, he had a seizure in front of them & the ambulance arrived to take him to hospital but he walked out of there today as our mental health system in Western Australia is pathetic, they release mental health patients at the drop of a hat. We have told him many times previously that we cannot keep putting up with him living under our roof with his addictions that he doesn't seem to want to address & he is scaring his little 3 year old brother so he has to move out. I am heartbroken telling my own child he is not welcome in our home. He told me today we don't care about him, we don't love him, we only love his little brother, he is our only son & he is going to kill himself & we will have his blood on our hands. I have for years tried so many hospitals, psychs, taken so much time off work jeopardising my job trying to help him, I recently secured him a job & we thought things were going well but he took days off on drug induced illness. Getting out of lease? apartment does not meet expectation?

a friend of mine recently looked at an apartment complex. the apartment they showed him was nice, it looked well taken care of and good. Where he was going to live was not available for viewing but needing an apartment and assuming it would meet the standards of the one that was shown to him, he signed a lease. when they gave him his key, the apartment he was to live in was revealed to be extremely substandard in comparison, unkempt, unmanageably peeling, bad odor, the whole gambit. He stated that he did not want to live there and the manager said that he had already signed the lease. Is there any way out of this? The manager has offered to repair the apartment at no cost but the time frame it will take to fix means he and his family would have to live rather uncomfortably.

So me and my now ex-girlfriend signed a year long lease in November 2010. We broke up and she hasn't been staying here since April. She has continued to pay me her half of the rent. She tried to be let out of the lease this month and my landlord (and the real estate company they work with) said no. The lease doesn't say I pay half, she pays half. If I were you, I'd confront the landlord and be honest. Mention that they have no place to go and your only option is for you to take them in. Most apartment complexes (actually I think all) charge you extra for having pets in the house. But to be honest I had a cat in my apartment and my landlord or manager of the complex never knew nor found out. I find it the right way to be honest because if the landlord were to find the cat and you never told him/her then that's twice the penalty. Just be honest! :) Good luck!

I have been riding for 7 years and would love to lease a horse!
