Should I turn off the utilties to get my ex boyfriend to move out?

I have had it!!!! I can't take it anymore. I want my ex out of my house now!!! He will not move out even though his name is not on the lease. My name is on all the bills and his name is not on the lease. Since I have to give him 30 days notice and I can't wait that long, I wanted to cut off the electricity. He is physically and verbally abusive. He just ran off with my video game system.
