Can we correct our marrige certificate.civil condtion unmarried to divorcee?

i m indian. but now im a usa citizen. i had a divorce in usa. after that i got married in india. when we register our marriage.at the office they wrote wrong stetment .i m a unmarried. they had to write divorcee. so now i wana change my marrige ceritficat as a divorcee. can i correct my marrige certificate in india.becouse usa embassy ask me to correct marrige certificate. give best answer . i went so many time to marriage register office they dont correct this.
