Society's view on single female parents?

Be honest. When people see a single women with a child do they view her as (I don't mean to sound harsh) used goods? In today's society it's more common for a child to live in a single parent home than it was in the past, but what do people really see when they look at her? Is age a factor? Are older single female parents given a free pass because they could just be a divorcee whereas a yong girl will most likely get labeled as some girl who had unprotected sex? Will most men avoid a relationship with a woman who already has a kid? All views welcome!
